- Line 9-inch round baking pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
- Press into pan, shape into a giant patty!
- Lift to remove patty.
- Place patty on grill over medium, ash-covered coals
- Or preheated gas grill at medium heat.
- Bring to 160°F (medium doneness)
- At about 14 minutes, flip once! The flip: slide lightly greased baking sheet under the burger…hold another baking sheet over the burger. Now… flip!
- Want it cheesy? Add during the last minute of cooking.
- Remove with a clean baking sheet.
- Place burger on bottom half of 8-inch bread loaf or focaccia.
- Top, cover, cut into wedges, and serve!

2 lbs. Ground beef chuck
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Bottom half of 8” bread loaf or focaccia
Optional: any cheese of choice!
